The spotlight this month falls on David Nelson

DAVID NELSON
BUSINESS SUPPORT MANAGER RESONSIBLE FOR BOOKKEEPING

David Nelson joined the firm in March 2010 leaving behind a career in retail.   He focuses on supporting businesses with their bookkeeping, payroll and preparation of their monthly management accounts. David is just finishing his AAT qualification. He has generated personal relationships with his clients and is available to work either at client’s premises or to take work for their weekly or monthly bookkeeping and payroll and prepare it in house, providing monthly reporting and backup of sage data if required.

David’s career in retail spanned 14 years so he is familiar with this sector.  During this time he worked across various retail departments and gained supervisory experience in most of these, most notably administration and compliance monitoring in the food department of a well known high street name, which, being a perfectionist, a requisite quality for all accountants, stands David in good stead for our retail clients.

David has lived in Southampton for 13 years and intends to stay here for the foreseeable future.  David believes that life should not be taken seriously.  He is an avid reader of fantasy novels, watcher of football (he says Liverpool are the best team in the world), and plays chess for Southampton.  He drinks bitter and real ale and is addicted to Jaffa Cakes and very bad jokes.

Contact a member of The Team to arrange a no obligation initial consultation, and see how ABDS can make a difference.

As promised we conclude with this month’s jokes supplied by the children of our team members.

Oliver provided us with this one, via his mother, Jenny.

“Did Rudolph go to a regular school?”

 No, he was "elf"-taught!

We can thank TK’s son Tanush for this one:

“What do you call the reindeer with cotton wool in his ears?”

Call him anything you like - he won't hear you!

Helen’s daughter Esme told this one:

“If there were 11 elves, and another one came along, what would he be?”

 The twelf

And, David could not help himself; he offers these as his own contribution

“How would you get four reindeer in a car?”

Two in the front and two in the back!

“And how do you get four polar bears in a car?”

Take the reindeer out first

Kind regards and a Merry Christmas and a
PROSPEROUS New Year to you all
